What data we collect

The only personal data we collect is your email address, which is used solely to create and secure your account (sign in, password reset). We do not collect your name unless you choose to add a display name, and we never sell or share your email with third parties.

AMVER Reports & ETA Calculator

The AMVER Reports tool and the ETA Calculator do not collect any data. They run in your browser (or, for ShipETA Pro, entirely offline on your own computer). The reports, positions and passage data you enter are never sent to or stored on our servers.

User-uploaded routes

Routes in the Passage Library are uploaded by users. Shared routes are user-generated content and are not verified by SMART NAV TOOLS. We are not responsible for the accuracy, quality, safety or reliability of any uploaded or shared route. Always review a route and cross-check it against your own ECDIS and official charts before using it for navigation. You are responsible for the content you upload and for ensuring you have the right to share it.

Your account & data

You can edit your display name or delete your account at any time from your profile. Deleting your account removes your private routes; routes you have shared publicly remain available to other officers without any link to your identity.
